Sunday Services
Multigenerational services offering a warm welcome to the everyone are an essential part of our vision at Oxford Pres. Our morning and evening services begin and end the day with the preaching of God’s word, prayer and praise.
Midweek Meetings
We gather as a church family on Thursday evenings to support and encourage one another as we serve and follow Jesus, to enjoy one other’s company, to be stretched and grow as we study God’s word, and to lift our prayers to God together as a community.
Men’s Ministry
The Oxford Pres Men’s Ministry is where brothers grow together in Christ through fellowship, friendship, worship, prayer, theological reflection and practical discipleship.
Whether sharing a meal, opening Scripture, praying together, reading a book, or exploring how faith shapes our daily lives, our aim is simple: to forge brotherhood in Christ.
Women’s Ministry
As members of the body of Christ, we are lovingly committed to caring deeply for one another and for our church family as we grow in practising our faith. We share our lives with one another and grow in love through practical and spiritual support, formal and informal gatherings, prayer and Bible study as we seek to glorify God in our day-to-day experience.
Children’s & Youth Ministry
Children are warmly welcome in all our services, as well as to our Sunday Club, Stay & Play mum’s & toddlers group, holiday clubs, families day and more throughout the year.
Our Friday Youth Group offers teens an opportunity to enjoy fun and games together as well as to engage with the hard questions of the Christian faith. We want Oxford Pres to be a church where they feel supported along this journey, where it’s OK to be real, and from which they are spurred on to grow into a deeper and clearer grasp of God and of his gospel.
Visitors
Oxford Pres is still quite a young church (services began in September 2018) and all of us know what it feels like to be newcomers and how important it is to help newcomers quickly feel at home. Whether you’re from the UK or from abroad, whether you’re moving here permanently, or for a degree course, or for just a term, we would love to welcome you into our church family.
Huge numbers of people arrive in and leave Oxford every year. We see it as part of our mission to help you find community, support, and to make your time here not just intellectually, but also spiritually, invigorating.
Our church services follow a traditional pattern – incorporating prayer, singing, confessions of sin, confessions of faith, and expository Bible teaching. We are very relaxed and young children are welcome at all our services.
